MOM

Dirk and Austen made something for Grandma - can't tell you or it will ruin the surprise. It was definitely made with love and really fun to do though.

This week I have been thinking a lot about woman and motherhood. I have two small kids so I have only gotten a taste of being a mom but these are the things that I do know:

-It's extremely hard

-You don't get paid for it

-You do REALLY gross things (like cleaning poo, puke, and snot)

-Your clothes are seldom clean, especially the shoulder area

-You become automatically interested in whatever they are (even if it is squishing ants or stabbing invisible sharks with invisible knives)

-You never get the amount of sleep you WANT

-You get better bonuses than any other job; full body hugs, slobbery kisses, long snuggles, genuine smiles and I love yous.

I love being a momma and wouldn't pick any other occupation.

I am grateful for mine and Ben's mom, they are both incredible examples of strong, righteous women who have chosen to be moms. THANKS MOM and MOM. Happy Mothers Day!
